Historic Helena

Helena's Humble Beginning -
Settled by Gold Miners in 1886 who staked their "Last Chance" to find gold in the gulch that ran through what is now downtown, Helena is a majestic but quaint mountain town. Thanks to an active Historical Society, an incredible number of buildings have been saved from destruction and new development by placement on the National Register of Historic Places.

Last Chance Gulch- Original site of the first gold found in Helena, is now a charming downtown area of restaurants, offices, and shops housed in the original, historical, majestic buildings.

I am fascinated by the cool archectural details in all of the buildings and homes. The Homes that Gold Built
