March 1-19, 2007

Terry was able to spend a wonderful 18 days in Florida!

We spent the first night at the Omni on the St. John's River. Together again, at last~!

We ate Mexican food and spent Saturday at the Home and Patio Show. This inspired us to get home and get busy on some big projects. With help from Sean and Pam and Vince, we removed all of the old screen, kick wall, and floor boards from the upstairs porch. Then Terry rebuilt the kick wall and cut window sills to get it ready for new screened sliding windows. We plan to tile the floor and I hope to move our exercise equipment up there for a great open air place to workout.

This is how it looked on the last day of Terry's visit. My job is to clean, caulk, paint, place window sills, paint some more, then get someone to put the windows in so we can sheet rock, paint some more, and tile the floor! Our goal is May 15th. I had better get busy!

We are also remodeling the girl's upstairs bathroom. We took out a wall and are replacing the tub/shower and all tile. Everything is a mess, covered in fine white dust from the tiling and sheet rock work. Once the tub is set and the tile has grout, my job will be to paint this and Lauren's room, then replace the mirrors and light fixtures.

A great weekend at the beach! After two weeks of hard work we took off to spend time at Jax beach. Ed and Karen were here to visit from Atlanta, so we rented a little house for three nights and had a relaxing weekend before Terry headed back to Manila.

Cecil, Marilyn and Seth met us for the afternoon and we had lunch at Latitudes.
We walked for miles on the beach to keep warm because
it was about 40 degrees and breezy all weekend.

Kristen and Karen ready for Saint Paddy's Day at the beach!

Terry and I drove to St. Augustine to meet Sean and Kristine
for dinner at Cap's a favorite restaurant on the intra coastal.

Terry got on the plane at noon on Monday and I came home to this..... :)
Beautiful Orchids finally blooming on our windowsill!
