October 20-22, 2006
Kansas State University 26 years later.....

I flew to Wichita and then drove through the flint hills to Manhattan to spend the weekend reconnecting with good friends. The beautiful campus is much the same.

Boyd Hall, my home for 2 years.

I lived on the top floor with a dormer window.
We had no AC and had to walk the stairs.

This is the front desk where I worked the switchboard for two years. I answered all incoming calls and then cabled the calls to the hallway phones upstairs (like Lily Tomlin) Now all of the rooms have phones and the old phone booths are used for trash and storage. This used to be a female only dorm, but now, as you can see, it is coed.

They still have community restrooms!

The same furniture, except Abby's dad built her this cool loft bed to maximize space

where the power cat is in the window.
